This Story Of Winona Ryder Getting Revenge On Her High School Bullies Just Won The Internet.
While many kids may know Winona Ryder as the mother from Stranger Things, us millennials know her from long before, from stuff such as Reality Bites, Edward Scissorhands and Girl, Interrupted. We not only know her but love her because she was an iconic emo girl, an inspiration for most of us at that time.
Like most people who are good at keeping up social appearances and at emotional acting, Winona Ryder too had a hard childhood. She went through bullying when she was young. This information got published in Dangerous Minds in 2013.
And like most legends, she took the chance to have revenge when she had it. Reading about her experience makes us wanna be famous just so that we could show the middle finger to our bullies.
The quote reads:
I was wearing an old Salvation Army shop boy’s suit. As I went to the bathroom I heard people saying, ‘Hey, faggot’. They slammed my head into a locker. I fell to the ground and they started to kick the shit out of me. I had to have stitches. The school kicked me out, not the bullies.
Years later, I went to a coffee shop and I ran into one of the girls who’d kicked me, and she said, ‘Winona, Winona, can I have your autograph?’ And I said, ‘Do you remember me? Remember in seventh grade you beat up that kid?’ And she said, ‘Kind of’. And I said, ‘That was me. Go fuck yourself.’
