Bodybuilder Embraces Her ‘Butt Dimple’ In Cheeky Open Letter.
People are finding so much inspiration to destroy bad body image issues these days because of the initiatives were taken by other people. And the inspiration definitely gets reciprocated, it is like sunshine and sunrays; it spreads throughout the day and benefits everybody. Each new inspired person has the ability to inspire lots of other people, and the equation is exponential.
Today we are honoring another inspired lady, who is inspiring thousands of others using the platform of social media. At the rate at which this idea of smashing body image issues is being embraced, I would not be surprised if in a couple of years this problem is wiped off of the face of the earth.
So coming to the point, Victoria Dariano is a bodybuilder and mental health advocate. Recently, she addressed one of her greatest insecurities in an open letter on Twitter: her butt dimple. Dimples and uneven muscle tone are a manifestation of cellulite. On the average, most people have these little imperfections but the world of photography and good lighting hides these facts from the audience and showcase an idea of perfection in the female body.
Well this young lady smashed those ideals and brought people back to the world of reality. The post went viral, with over 27,000 resonating with embracing a body feature that made you anxious.
“Dear Butt Dimple, I remember the first day you appeared. I was 15 years old. Since then you have had a hugely negative impact on my life. Since then you have made me feel less about myself. You not only made me feel fat, but also unworthy.”
She explained how the dimple manifested in her psychology.
“I would never feel confident in a bikini because I thought everyone was staring at you. I would never wear my favorite leggings because again I always thought people were starting at you. Long shirts were my go-to as it was a way I could cover you up and have a moment of peace within my mind as no one would be judging you.”
